This year Pine Mountain Poultry has expanded it's poultry breeds. In addition to our red cornish and label rogue breeds we are adding slow grown European heritage breeds.  Average time on the pasture is 12 weeks compared to the 7 or 8 weeks of the commercial white cornish cross. In addition we have sourced our feed locally with all the ingredients coming from local farmers and growers in Oregon and southern Washington state.

Pricing for 2010 is 4.99/lb for whole chickens.  Cut up will start at 5.99 for wings and go all the way to 16.99/lb for our boneless skinless breasts.  In addition to chicken we are raising Moscovy duck, 5 different types of heritage turkeys and double breasted bronze turkeys.

Deposits for Thanksgiving turkeys are now being accepted at any of the farmers markets.  We sold out early last year and encourage our customers to reserve your turkey early.  Double Breasted Bronze turkeys are 5.99/lb and Heritage varieties are 7.79/lb.

The first birds of the season were processed April 5th and are available for sale at the ranch or at the seven Portland area markets we participate in.2010 Market Schedule
